We're nothing if not thorough here at Remap, so it only makes sense that we would do our due diligence during our Ocean's Eleven chapter of My Turn. That's right, we're returning to the original Ocean's Eleven (1960), a vanity project meant to take advantage of the Rat Pack's various Vegas residencies. What we get is a plodding, over stuffed, and quite frankly boring film that Soderbergh's modern take easily outshines, which is probably why so little ends up being used from this original script for the remake. Come along and listen to Rob, Janet, and Chia suffer through the leitmotif from hell, and just try to guess how many instances of misogyny one movie can possibly contain.
