My Turn - Ocean's 8

It's been a long road but we're finally here, at the end of the Ocean's franchise! Janet's turn at the wheel ends with the sometimes excellent, often uneven Ocean's 8. Released in a cultural moment that was marked by a mass rejection of the "Franchise Remake but Women Now," this movie seemed unfairly maligned by the proximity it had to things like Ghostbusters (2016). The premise, characters, and heist all shine despite a lackluster script and pacing, which left the Remap crew all over the map on their enjoyment of this film. Come for the heist, stay for the barely hidden sapphic undertones!
