The thing about selling your house is that eventually you’re going to have to move. Which means coming to grips with all the stuff that’s built-up across the years you’ve lived there. I have not lived so long in the same place since I was a child, and it’s starting to register with me that it’s going to be a huge amount of work to get out of here. Even with movers. Likewise, everything else about our life here suddenly has an expiration date. The other day I was grocery shopping and realized I needed to get smaller sizes of a bunch of household items because otherwise we’re going to be paying movers to ship giant bottles of dish soap and canisters of salt across the state.
Patrick is allegedly returning this week, though I don’t have much expectation he’ll be much good to us now that he’s all “La Vie en Rose”. We’ll see what happens with our second stream later this week, but that leaves Chia plenty of time to finish off this game of Civilization VII. Janet will be back on pod before absconding to GamesCom (I am wildly envious on one level and on another would commit human sacrifice to get out of going to a major trade show). I’m really hopeful to make some time for Mafia this week but first I need to stop popping into Timberborn to build yet another town-destroying folly.

- MONDAY: My Turn watches Big Fan. Austin joins us to look at Patton Oswalt playing an obsessive, alienated Giants fan and the reckoning he faces with his conception of self when his favorite player finds him an invasive creep and beats the crap out of him. An uncomfortable and frequently unpleasant movie, Big Fan nevertheless provides some memorable conversation.
- TUESDAY - 2:30 PM: Chia is building nukes and rockets. Who is to say how they will be used?
- THURSDAY - 2:30 PM: I mean, we’ll probably stream something. We’ll keep you posted.
- FRIDAY: Remap Radio will have a normal one without Patrick around, I am sure.
- ARTICLE: Maybe there will be a letter series. Or perhaps I’ll just got on another flight of fancy!
