I'm re-watching Stranger Things with my kids—we're a few episodes into the second season—and it's just wild how different that show was at the start. Low stakes. Incredible and captivating mystery. There are threads to pick up on at the end of the first season, but if you just left those characters where they were...well, you could've. They didn't. And I frequently did love where Stranger Things went in its audacious and flawed subsequent seasons. It's also funny how my nine-year-old is experiencing "watching" the show, because she already spoiled everything for herself by watching Stranger Things-related videos on YouTube. She knows it's a spoiler, but she also likes knowing everything about what's coming in the show. Very weird, though probably not actually weird. I'm guessing kids do that a lot now?
-pk, apologies for this coming late; yesterday was a funeral service

- PODCAST: My Turn (feat: Stranger Things Season 5) – It has been a very, very long journey for Stranger Things, which started as one show and became a radically different show by the end. It was fun to chat about that journey with folks, though. I still look back very fondly not the show, mess and all.
- STREAM: Baby Steps – Despite our many hours in this confusing and fucked up world, apparently we're only, like, halfway through? We may take a pause on Baby Steps after this, but I promise we'll return and I won't take any steps that do not occur on a stream with you all and Chia. BABY STEPS WILL RETURN.
- ARTICLE/PODCAST: Love Eternal – This is a game that Janet and I have been playing ahead of release, and even as of this newsletter I can't talk about it, but it probably says something that I'm doing a podcast and article, right?
- STREAM: The Sims – My understanding is that people are on fire? But I also understand that I have regular access to a hot tub, which is awfully nice.
- PODCAST: Remap Radio – Surprise: We're bringing on a guest to do another round of game of the year games!!! OK, not true. Just a normal podcast.
- STREAM: Friendslop Fridays (feat: Yapyap) – So long as we have Danika around, I think we're going to try doing a more regular rotation of friendslop games that we're trying as a group. TikTok keeps feeding me videos of a weird one where you're gnomes trying to aim a gun in a house? Sure, fine, of course.
- ARTICLE: Letter Series – Sorry, slipped through the cracks last week.
