This Week's Remap Recap

There's always a mild pang of anxiety when you have travel booked for the end of the week—but it's just the start of the week. When should I start laying things out? When should I do that last load of laundry? Increasingly, I've started just making small preparation piles in the corner of our bedroom, out of the way of everything else, and then just slowly adding to those piles as it becomes close enough to finalize them. I've done this trip a bunch of times before, and yet, the anxiety persists! I'm not even an anxious flyer! There's just something about knowing the major event is on the other end of the tunnel, almost like a doctor's appointment in the middle of the day. Anyway. Super interesting insight as always, Patrick.

Lotta streaming this week!
  • PODCAST: My Turn – Ocean's Eleven (feat: Janet, Rob, Patrick, Chia) – I've never seen any of these movies...somehow? I haven't purposely avoided them, but it's going to be a joy to run through them with a certified expert, aka Janet.
  • STREAM: Remap's 3rd Anniversary – Has it really been three years already? Sheesh. In any case, Chia has trekked over to Rob's house to stream from The Compound Highguard. I'll be joining over the course of their streaming, but mostly, this is a fun way to celebrate our third anniversary, while acting as a testing ground for future The Compound Highguard streams. (Being able to use Rob's house, instead of renting a facility, is waaaaay cheaper and easier.)
  • PODCAST: Remap Radio – One last pod before SGF kicks off! I don't leave until Friday morning, though, so I'll be around for this one before departing.
  • OTHER STREAMS? TBD.
  • ARTICLE: Letter Series – Topic TBD.
  • TRAVEL: Summer Game Fest – I'm heading out on Friday, and I'll once again come back with a bounty of impressions, interviews, and more! My goal is to do some kind of ongoing audio diary about my time at SGF, but we'll see.
