This Week at Remap

It has felt, speaking honestly, kinda awful to be on the other side of the spectrum with Control Resonant the past few weeks. Like, we should speak our truth and yada yada yada, but given how much time we spend glazing Remedy games, it's borderline distressing to spend the past few weeks going "uh, maybe not this one?" It's the biggest divide between what Remap thinks and what Remap's audience thinks that I can remember in a long time. Ever? Which is why it was such a relief to reach a section called the Underpass in Resonant over the weekend, and while I'm not ready to say "I was wrong," because that won't erase how I've felt about the game so far, I will say I've had a massive grin on my face for several hours.

The schedule for Remap
Articles! Podcasts! Streams! Oh my!
  • Library-Tier Podcast: HOA (Monday, October 5) – While it sounds cool to get a house as part of an inheritance, what happens if it rips your family apart?
  • Stream: Lo-Fi Patrick (Monday, October 5) – I spent an hour complaining about Siri AI lying to me about a train while playing Graveyard Keeper 2.
  • Stream: Normal Golf Game (2:30 PM, Tuesday, October 6) – Over the weekend, I accidentally created a save conflict between my Steam Machine and Steam Deck instances of Normal Golf Game, forcing me to roll the dice on what challenges I was confident I might be able to pull off again. We'll have to see.
  • Library-Tier Podcast: Sports! Mini (Tuesday, October 6) – The Bears, however improbably, won again with a backup QB. The season is not only not over, but we need to start entertaining conversations about this team's ceiling!
    • As usual, this podcast goes live for everyone on Saturday.
  • Article/Podcast: Forever Ago (Thursday, October 8) – A story about grief? A game about losing loved ones? Of course I had to chat with the devs on this.
  • Stream: Motorsports Manger (2:30 PM, Thursday, October 8) – Maybe if we just pretend the trailer for the sequel didn't use AI, they'll quietly remove it?
  • Podcast: Remap Radio (Friday, October 9) – There will be Dragon's Dogma talk on this podcast. I'll let you speculate who might be showing up for this one.
  • Library-Tier Article: Letter Series (Friday, October 9) – My bad on not getting this out the door last week. Solo parenting, a day lost to NYC travel, etc.
