This Week at Remap

As much as I like new tech, even I do not think I can find a reason to justify buying the (very cool-looking) Steam Frame. I have a perfectly good Quest sitting in the house, and while the whole Zuck of it all is as good a reason as any to run towards this device, I don't even use the tainted device that much. I go through fits and starts with VR—Alyx is a certified banger—but it's just not something that I can find myself paying a thousand dollars for. Also, shot in the dark, but if for some reason you're a Remap fan and you will ALSO be at Halloween Horror Nights in Los Angeles this upcoming Friday, hit me up via DM and let's have a beer. A Remap fan was at the renaissance faire on the same day I was, so who knows?!

-pk, who is very much looking forward to the Hellraiser haunted house

Remap's schedule for this week
Can you tell that we've been interested in Zero Company?
  • Library-Tier Podcast (Monday, September 14): HOA — When do you start to wonder if the person who's been hired to fix something for you isn't up to the task? Welcome to my anxiety-inducing nightmare, this week on HOA.
  • Stream (10 AM Monday, September 14): Lo-Fi Patrick – Listen to me celebrate the Bears scoring 59 points (!!), while trying to figure out what networking gremlin is causing problems with my setup. (The YouTube VOD does not have any of the dropped frame issues the live broadcast encountered.)
  • Stream (6:30 PM Tuesday, September 15): Star Wars Zero Company – Let's try this again, shall we? Look, Natalie does not work for Remap, so we're always happy when she's able to carve out some time to hang for these streams. Our hope is that Rob and Natalie will get a chance to keep doing more of these.
  • Article, Rob Zacny (Wednesday, September 16): Star Wars Zero Company – Rob has finished his time in Star Wars Tactics and has thoughts.
  • Stream (2:30 PM Thursday, September 17): Chained Together – This will be, stream willing, the stream where we cross the finish line on this one.
  • Library-Tier Article (Friday, September 18): Letter Series – Topic TBD, but I think we're gonna talk about how when you hear things like "new StarCraft game coming in 2030" and start doing the math about your age.
